Euonymus theifolius Wall. ex M.A.Lawsen

A small, erect, evergreen shrub with warted stems. Leaves leathery, oblong to lanceolate or ovate, acute, 1 to 3 in. long, [3/4] to 1[1/2] in. wide, distantly toothed, with impressed venation. Capsules shallowly four-lobed, pink, on pendulous stalks.

Native of the Himalaya from Nepal to Bhutan, and of the Khasi hills. To this species probably belong plants from Schilling 2456, collected in Nepal (Lancaster, The Plantsman, Vol. 4(4), p. 253 (1983)).
