A spreading shrub to about 4 ft high. Leaves elliptic-oblong to oblong-lanceolate, 1 to 2 in. long. Inflorescence one- to four-flowered. Flowers golden yellow, shallowly cup-shaped, 2 to 2[5/8] in. wide. Sepals narrow-oblong or narrowly oblonglanceolate, acute or acuminate. Stamens about one-third as long as the petals. Ovary narrowly ovoid-conic.

A hybrid of uncertain parentage, raised about 1964 from seed in the Eastleigh nursery of Messrs Hillier.
